Internal Regulation

1. Purpose and Scope

1.1. To establish an assessment and evaluation system consistent with SDU Faculty of Medicine's mission and vision and with the aims and objectives of the education program, providing reliable data to evaluate the effectiveness of the education program.

2. Structure

2.1. The Board consists of at least 5 faculty members, at least one representing the Department of Medical Education, and 1 faculty-representative student. 2.2. Members are appointed by the Dean for 3 years. 2.3. The Board elects a chair and notifies the Dean's Office.

3. Duties

3.1. When appropriate, to organize an Assessment and Evaluation Course to develop faculty members' assessment skills. 3.2. To evaluate related requests and feedback. 3.3. For each course, 5 members are assigned as the organizing committee.

4. Working Method

4.1. The Board meets once a month upon the chair's invitation and submits decisions to the Dean's Office. 4.2. Absolute majority required to convene; decisions by absolute majority of those attending. 4.3. The chair may invite others (no vote). 4.4. Secretarial services by the Education-Training Chief Coordinatorship.

5. Goals

5.1–5.11. To identify assessment problems and solutions; work with clearly defined, systematically reviewed objectives; make it institutional culture to link objectives with assessment; keep examinations close to real life; give more place to formative assessment; ensure positive effect on learning; always operate feedback; ensure examination security; minimize format/technique errors; meet faculty knowledge needs; and share obstacles with SDUTF-MÖTEK and the Faculty Administration.

6. Entry into Force

6.1. Enters into force as of the date approved by the Faculty Board.

7. Execution

7.1. The Dean of SDUTF is responsible.
