Internal Regulation

1. Purpose and Scope

1.1. To regulate the structure, duties, and operation of the SDU Faculty of Medicine Community-Based Medical Education Board (SDUTF-TODAEK).

2. Structure

2.1. The Board consists of at least 7 faculty members, including at least one each from the Departments of Public Health, Family Medicine, and Medical Education. 2.2. Members are appointed by the Dean for 3 years. 2.3. The Board elects a chair and notifies the Dean's Office.

3. Duties

3.1. It ensures students carry out fieldwork outside the faculty and encounter patients, healthcare delivery, the health system and the community early in medical education. 3.2. With year coordinators, it determines the distribution, content, aims and objectives of community-based applications. 3.3. It develops student/instructor materials. 3.4. With the Assessment and Evaluation Board, it obtains and evaluates feedback and makes improvements. 3.5. It develops relations with the health institutions visited. 3.6. It determines and reports required infrastructure, human resources and equipment.

4. Working Method

4.1. Meets at the start (October) and end (June) of the academic year upon the chair's invitation. 4.2. Absolute majority required; decisions by absolute majority of attendees. 4.3. The chair may invite others (no vote). 4.4. Secretarial services by the Education-Training Chief Coordinatorship.

5. Entry into Force

5.1. Enters into force as of the date approved by the Faculty Board.

6. Execution

6.1. The Dean of SDUTF is responsible.
