Internal Regulation

1. Purpose and Scope

1.1. Covers the establishment, duties, working methods and principles of the Self-Evaluation Board.

2. Basis

2.1. Prepared on the basis of the TEPDAD Guide for Preparing the Self-Evaluation Report of the Undergraduate Medical Education Program.

3. Structure

3.1. At least 11 members: Dean/vice deans (natural); the Self-Evaluation Coordinator; a Medical Education faculty member; at least three faculty (preferably Basic/Internal/Surgical); at least three students (pre-clinical/clinical/intern); an SDU Faculty of Medicine graduate; a resident; the Faculty Secretary; and at least one administrative staff member. 3.2. Determined by the faculty administration. 3.3. On renewal, one-third remains. 3.4. Student members serve 1 year, others 3 years.

4. Duties

4.1. To monitor and evaluate undergraduate medical education per UTEAK standards, advise the administration, and prepare the accreditation reports requested by UTEAK.

5. Working Method

5.1. Cooperates with administration, departments, student communities and other boards; responsible to the Dean's Office. 5.2. Meets at least once each term and as needed. 5.3. Convenes with absolute majority. 5.4. Membership ends after three unexcused absences. 5.5. May form sub-working groups.

6. Entry into Force

6.1. Enters into force as of the date approved by the Faculty Board.

7. Execution

7.1. The Dean is responsible.
