INTRODUCTION OF THE DEPARTMENT

Suleyman Demirel University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Urology was founded in 1996 by Dr T. Ahmet SEREL. Our clinic was first opened in the stone building of Isparta State Hospital located in the city center and since 02.01.2001 has been providing service on the 4th floor of the hospital of medical faculty, which has 550 bed capacity. Currently, 7 academic members including 5 professors and 2 assistant professors, and resident doctors are working in our clinic. We have capacity of 16 beds and provide uninterrupted service to Isparta and its surrounding provinces.

Until today, 23 resident doctors from our department have become specialist. The head of the department is Prof. Dr. Taylan Oksay. In our clinic we provide service to our patients at european standards with years of experience and knowledge. Our clinic was entitled to receive the Certificate of Residency Training Competence given by the Turkish Urology Association.
