SÜLEYMAN DEMİREL UNIVERSITY FACULTY OF MEDICINE — ALUMNI BOARD WORKING PRINCIPLES

1. Purpose

To determine the establishment, duties, powers and responsibilities of the Alumni Board and regulate principles on proposals from academic/practice-research units.

2. Scope

Covers the education-training, practice, research and administrative units of SDU Faculty of Medicine.

3. Basis

Articles 14/b-2 and 14/b-8 of Higher Education Law No. 2547.

4. Definitions

Faculty; Dean; Chair; Graduate; Sub-Boards.

5. Establishment

At least four members including a chair appointed by the Dean; the Chief of Student Affairs acts as rapporteur/secretary. Term of office 3 years; reappointment possible; membership ends for assignments abroad over six months; the Dean may change members and fill vacancies within 1 month.

6. Duties

To ensure continuity of relations between the Faculty and graduates; keep graduates informed; bring graduates together; strengthen ties with the university; increase solidarity; cooperate with alumni foundations/associations; establish an alumni database and communication channels; and coordinate with other alumni/career units.

7. Working Procedures

A sub-board and advisory body of the Faculty; may establish sub-boards; meets at least once a year or upon the chair's call with absolute majority; decisions by majority vote of attendees.

8. Execution

Executed by the Dean's Office of SDU Faculty of Medicine.
