Medical Biochemistry
HISTORY Department of Medical Biochemistry was established by Associate Professor Dr. Mehmet Akdogan in 1993. It was put into service as Clinical Biochemistry Laborotary under the presidency of Professor Dr. Namik Delibas between 1996-2008. Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Vural took laborotary’s responsibility between 2008-2010. It is continued to give labour under the presidency of Prof. Dr. Fatih Gültekin at present. LOCATION AND CAPASITY There is a clinical biochemistry laborotary which are done routine biochemistry, hormone, haematology, electrophoresis, ELISA, molecular tests and urine analysis in SDU Research and Application Hospital in control of department. Also there are experimental learning, memory and research laborotaries.
Researh assistants have actively studied all units for four years in laborotary. At the end of education course, they take in charge laborotory administration. In addition, they get experience about planning and carrying out scientific researches during their education. Every Wednesday, seminar and article time are done. Lessons are told to research assistant by academic staff of the department.
