We Successfully Held the 3rd International/6th National Health Services Congress

 

Süleyman Demirel University (SDÜ) Faculty of Medicine held its 3rd International/6th National Health Services Congress (INHSC2024) on December 19-21, 2024 at the University Research and Application Hospital and the Faculty Lecture Halls.

The opening ceremony of the congress was conducted by Ms. Birsen Baskan. Starting with a moment of silence in honor of the great leader Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk and his comrades, our beloved martyrs, our brave war veterans, and our healthcare workers who have passed away, followed by the singing of our National Anthem, the Congress continued with a classical guitar concert specially arranged and performed by Graduate Student Oğuz Emre Divarcı from the Faculty of Fine Arts.

The opening remarks of the Congress were given by SDÜ Faculty of Medicine Vice Dean Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehtap Savran, SDÜ Faculty of Medicine Dean Prof. Dr. Nilgün Şenol, Deputy Rector of Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS) Assoc. Prof. Dr. M. Hossesin Ayati, and SDÜ Deputy Rector Prof. Dr. Alim Koşar. In the speeches, after welcoming participants, the speakers emphasized "the great importance of organizing a scientific event; but equally valuable is the continuation of this, bringing the congress into a tradition." Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ayati expressed his happiness at being in Isparta and noted that they would be honored to advance our current cooperation further.

The first session of the Congress was the "Medical Education" session moderated by Prof. Dr. Alim Koşar, with Prof. Dr. İskender Sayek (Hacettepe U. Assist. Prof. Dr.) as a virtual speaker and Prof. Dr. D. Sema Arıcı (Biruni U.) as an in-person speaker. The session covered "interprofessional cooperation and education" and "national core curriculum-medical education" topics. The session, which was followed with great interest by our students, concluded with a question-and-answer section.
