Suleyman Demirel University Faculty of Medicine has undertaken an important and unique initiative to raise awareness about childhood diabetes and increase public awareness. The song "I Have Diabetes, I Am Everywhere," which holds the distinction of being the world's and Turkey's first diabetes-themed song, was introduced to the public for the first time during World Diabetes Week for Children.

The work, with lyrics by Prof. Dr. Özgür Pirgon and music by Prof. Dr. Yüksel Pirgon, carries a positive and inclusive message emphasizing that children with diabetes are active, strong, and visible in all aspects of life. The song draws attention to the fact that diabetes is not a barrier, but rather a health condition that can be managed with proper information, follow-up, and support.

As Suleyman Demirel University Faculty of Medicine, we are delighted to support this meaningful effort that emphasizes the importance of early diagnosis, proper treatment, family and community support in childhood diabetes. This unique work, which aims to create awareness in the health field through the unifying power of art, brings hope and courage to all segments of society, especially children.

This effort initiated on the occasion of World Diabetes Week for Children is a concrete example of the SDU Faculty of Medicine's community health-focused, innovative, and multidisciplinary approach, and strongly expresses that individuals living with diabetes are present in all areas.

We thank all stakeholders who contributed to this valuable work, and once again emphasize that we stand with our diabetic children at all times.
