Term 1 'Humanities and Arts in Medicine Course' Continues with Participants from Different Disciplines

Süleyman Demirel University (SDÜ) Faculty of Medicine's 'Humanities and Arts in Medicine' course in Term 1 provided students with the opportunity to explore the effects of different disciplines on medical communication. This special course was conducted through a joint presentation by Assoc. Prof. Dr. M. İnci Başer Kolcu and Ali Keçelioğlu, a graduate student in Mechanical Engineering and Physics.

During the course, they examined the relationship between music, physics, language context, and medicine. Particularly with technical details, the role of sound in patient-physician communication was addressed through interactive methods. Educators supported theoretical information with cura and electronic musical instruments, providing participants with an in-depth analysis of melodies from cultural and psycho-social perspectives.
