Suleyman Demirel University Faculty of Medicine TEPDAD Reaccreditation Evaluation Visit Completed Successfully
Suleyman Demirel University Faculty of Medicine successfully completed the on-site evaluation visit within the scope of the reaccreditation process conducted by the Association for Assessment and Accreditation of Medical Education Programs (TEPDAD). The visit held between 13-17 April 2025 was an important step towards our Faculty's goal of providing quality medical education in line with national and international standards.
Accreditation of medical faculties' educational programs is a critical process that ensures the scientific competence of educational programs, student-centered approach, and continuous improvement. Accreditation is based on internationally recognized standards to ensure the highest level of professional competence of our graduates and patient safety. This process strengthens our Faculty's commitment to improving educational quality and demonstrates the transparency of services we provide to our stakeholders.
Within the scope of the visit program, a total of 11 face-to-face meetings were held with faculty management, faculty members, research assistants, student representatives, and administrative personnel. In these meetings, 137 registered participants took part, sharing valuable information about our Faculty's academic and administrative structure. The visiting team examined our educational curriculum, preclinical and clinical education environments, student support mechanisms, and research infrastructure in detail.
On the final day of the evaluation process, an exit briefing was held by the visiting team with the participation of the Dean, faculty members, and students. At the briefing, feedback on our Faculty's strengths as well as recommendations regarding areas for improvement was shared. This feedback will create a roadmap for further improving our teaching and learning processes in the coming period.
As Suleyman Demirel University Faculty of Medicine, we thank all our academic and administrative personnel, students, and stakeholders who contributed to this comprehensive evaluation process conducted by TEPDAD. We will continue our work in this field with determination and continue to respond adequately to our country's need for qualified physicians.
