SDÜ Faculty of Medicine 2nd Project and Science Days: Artificial Intelligence and Clinical Applications

The "2nd Project and Science Days" event organized by Suleyman Demirel University Faculty of Medicine Project Office was held with intense participation. The program started with opening speeches by Project Office Director Prof. Dr. Halil Aşcı, Faculty of Medicine Dean Prof. Dr. Nilgün Şenol, and Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Alim Koşar, where faculty members and students gathered to share their scientific work.

Following the moment of silence and the National Anthem, certificates of appreciation were presented to faculty members who conducted ÖÇM and Project courses in the 2024-2025 academic year using "learner-centered approach" and "small group activity" methods.

In the continuation of the program, the role of artificial intelligence in medicine was discussed in a session titled "Medicine and Artificial Intelligence: Future Clinical Applications from Diagnosis to Treatment".

In the afternoon section of the event, a friendly competition was held among students in the form of an award-winning quiz competition. Following the competition, presentations were made of projects prepared by our students and approved to receive support under the TÜBİTAK 2209-A program. Students accompanied by their advisor faculty members presented their projects, demonstrating how they contributed to scientific research. Following the presentations, gifts were presented to the students on behalf of the Faculty.

In the final part of the day, an oral presentation session was held. Faculty of Medicine students had the opportunity to present their scientific research before academics and colleagues.

Our students spent the day examining poster presentations located in the Medical History and Ethics Corridor and participated in a ceramic wheel workshop under the guidance of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Serap Ünal and Res. Assist. Ayşe Melike Bircan, faculty members from our University's Ceramic and Glass Department.
