Regarding Survey Study to Be Conducted Within Addiction Prevention Framework

In collaboration with the Suleyman Demirel University (SDÜ) and the Isparta Provincial Governorate Addiction Prevention Coordination Unit (BAMKOM), a comprehensive survey study covering alcohol, tobacco, and gambling addiction is being planned.

The objective of the study is to identify addiction trends, habit levels, and risk factors in Isparta city center and districts, thereby strengthening the province's capacity to combat addiction with scientific evidence and contributing to policy development processes.

The survey, planned to be administered in a total of 7,200 households, will be conducted under the academic coordination of SDÜ Faculty of Medicine, with the scientific infrastructure provided by SDÜ. Survey questions will be structured in compliance with ethical principles, and the collected data will be analyzed and shared with relevant institutions.

The Isparta Provincial Governorate will be responsible for providing technical and logistical support for field administration of the survey. In this regard:

Surveyors for household visits will be recruited from public personnel, Survey administration will be coordinated in the city center and districts, Necessary transportation, security, and information dissemination processes will be provided, Organizational cooperation will be conducted through district governorships, provincial and district offices, and neighborhood headmen, All of which will be implemented by the Provincial Governorate.

The survey will be administered through face-to-face interview method by directly reaching homes and streets. This method aims to achieve both higher participation rates and ensure healthy data collection.

The findings obtained from this collaborative work will be instrumental in formulating addiction prevention strategies for Isparta province and in developing existing services.
