Our Year 1 Students' "Welcome to the Profession" Series Continues in Full Swing

The "Welcome to the Profession" application, which our university's Medical Faculty implemented for the first time this year for Year 1 students, is continuing in full swing.

This week's integrated sessions were "General Overview of Deontology" and "Social Security in Medical Profession."

In the "General Overview of Deontology" presentation given by Dr. Fuat İnce, Chair of the Department of Medical History and Ethics at our faculty, our students were provided with general information about the definition of deontology, the history of the deontology concept and its development throughout history, deontology-ethics, medical deontology, and the Medical Deontology Regulations.

The topic of Social Security in Medical Profession was presented by Assoc. Prof. Ali Kemal Nurdoğan, Faculty Member of the Department of Labor Economics and Industrial Relations at our university's Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences. Assoc. Prof. Nurdoğan provided information on social security concepts, the social security statuses that physicians may be subject to, health expenditures, physicians' social security rights, and social security policies during epidemic periods such as COVID-19.

In the question-answer section, the students' questions were answered.

The Medical History and Ethics Department's "Welcome to the Profession" series, followed with interest and broad participation by our Year 1 students, will continue with integrated sessions on "General Overview of Ethics and Ethics in Academic Life," "General Overview of Bioethics and Ethics Concepts in Medicine," "Responsibility Concept," "Obligation Concept," "Accountability Concept," and "Artificial Intelligence and Digital Health in Medicine."
