Major Success from SDÜ Sports Medicine Team: First Place in TURK-MUS 8/24 Musculoskeletal Ultrasound Competition and Advancing Services with New Technological Investment

Medical faculty members from our Department of Sports Medicine participated in the musculoskeletal ultrasound symposium (TURK-MUS 8/24) organized by the Multidisciplinary Ultrasound Society (TURK-MUS) in Ankara from December 13-15, 2024, open to all physicians from Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Radiology, Neurology, Sports Medicine, Anesthesiology, Algology, Geriatrics, Rheumatology, Orthopedics and Traumatology, Pediatric Neurology, Pediatric Rheumatology, Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Intensive Care, Dermatology, or other interested medical fields. In the "YarışıyorUS" knowledge competition held on the final day of this symposium led by expert and distinguished names in the field, the "SDÜ Sports" team formed by Res. Asst. Dr. Ramazan Kürşat ERDAŞ, Res. Asst. Dr. Ahmet Said UYAN, and Res. Asst. Dr. Fatih Uğur TAŞ placed first, winning free participation rights in training to be held next year.

Thanks to the musculoskeletal ultrasound equipment acquired for our Department of Sports Medicine's inventory under project TSG-2024-9501 supported by Suleyman Demirel University Scientific Research Projects Coordination Unit in 2024, diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal diseases in the sports medicine specialty field are being performed more effectively, and patient satisfaction levels are increasing.
