Fourth Session of the '360-Degree Active Life and Health' Project Was Organized

The fourth session of the social contribution project themed "'360-Degree Active Life and Health'" was held at Suleyman Demirel University Faculty of Medicine Term 3 Amphitheater on December 2, 2024. At the event titled "Return to Sports After Sports Injuries," information and methods necessary for athletes' recovery processes after injuries and safe return to sports were shared with participants. In the session conducted with a presentation by Res. Assist. Dr. Ramazan Kürşat ERDAŞ from the Department of Sports Medicine, the management of the post-injury treatment process and points to be considered in returning to sports were discussed. Throughout the program, important points such as musculoskeletal system rehabilitation, strengthening exercises, and athletes' reacquisition of sport-specific movements were explained in detail. Participants had the opportunity to learn the steps to be followed in the rehabilitation process in athletes. Additionally, topics such as functional evaluation methods, preparation of return-to-sport programs tailored to individual needs, and appropriate exercise selection were explained in detail. It was emphasized that physical and psychological preparation is critical for athletes to confidently return to their post-injury performance. The program was completed with answers to questions from participants. The fifth session of this seminar series will continue on December 9, 2024, at 15:30 at the Faculty of Medicine Term 3 Amphitheater under the title "Performance Tests in Sports."
