Faculty of Medicine Project Office Contributing to Different Disciplines

A wonderful example of contribution to the collaboration of different disciplines at our University: a project idea developed at the Faculty of Medicine Project Office was realized. The project idea that was developed and presented at the Faculty of Medicine Project Office was accepted as a 1001 project.

A project titled "Smart Sensor Technology-Based Earthquake Monitoring System-DEPAR" submitted by Dr. Instructor Mustafa GEÇİN, Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, was accepted under the TUBITAK-AFAD 1001-UDAP NATIONAL EARTHQUAKE RESEARCH PROGRAM JOINT CALL.

Summary of this project: The Smart Sensor Technology-Based Earthquake Monitoring System-DEPAR aims to efficiently utilize existing resources in search and rescue operations during and immediately after earthquakes by using the devices, equipment, and software it contains, and to provide voice communication between earthquake survivors trapped under debris and search and rescue workers following building collapses after earthquakes, thereby contributing to the detection of life under rubble.
