Department of Public Health Faculty Members' Community Contribution Projects Continue in Different Faculties.

Faculty member Prof. Dr. Ersin Uskun of our Faculty's Department of Public Health, serving as project director, conducted a community contribution project titled "Suleyman Demirel University Female Students' Knowledge and Protective Behaviors Regarding Breast Cancer and the Impact of Breast Cancer and Breast Self-Examination Education" with support from Suleyman Demirel University Scientific Research Projects Coordination Unit. The project commenced on October 22, 2024 with training sessions at the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences. Following the visually-focused presentation, participants gained the opportunity to practice examination using a breast model. Participants received detailed informational booklets on the subject at the training's conclusion.

Faculty member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Özgür Önal of our Faculty's Department of Public Health, serving as project director, conducted another community contribution project titled "SDÜ Administrative Unit Personnel and Students' Health Status Determination and Development Project: 'Always Excellent in Health'" with support from Suleyman Demirel University Scientific Research Projects Coordination Unit. This project aims to identify and improve the health status of administrative unit personnel and students from the Faculty of Human and Social Sciences and the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, with particular emphasis on obesity, and to plan improvement activities based on identified findings. Within the project scope, certain measurements are being performed, and individuals identified with health-related risks are being referred to relevant departments at our University Hospital.
