Choose Your Health: Discover the Power of Conscious Living!

Suleyman Demirel University's Education Family Health Center hosted the "Choose Your Health: Discover the Power of Conscious Living!" event, which was conducted within the scope of the TSTK-2025-9593 community contribution project. At the event, the aim was to increase individuals' health awareness and create awareness about breast cancer. The opening speech was given by Prof. Dr. Sabriye Ercan, Deputy Dean of Suleyman Demirel University Faculty of Medicine, emphasizing the importance of preventing breast cancer. Subsequently, informative presentations about breast cancer were given by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Özgür Önal and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Funda Yıldırım Baş. Following the "Pink Ribbon Wearing Event" led by Instructor Dr. Tuğçe Çamlıca, practical self-breast examination training was provided to the public, intern students, and members of the Yeşilay group under the guidance of Res. Asst. Dr. Gizem Başer, Res. Asst. Dr. Sümeyra Sural, and Res. Asst. Dr. Pelin Apa. During the training, practical applications were performed on models and participants' questions were answered. At the end of the event, informational educational materials were distributed to participants to ensure the sustainability of the awareness created.
