"2022 Abdi İbrahim Pharmaceutical Industry Science Award" Presented to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mevlüt Serdar KUYUMCU, Faculty Member of Our Department of Cardiology

Associate Professor Dr. Mevlüt Serdar Kuyumcu, a faculty member in the Department of Cardiology, was selected for the "2022 Abdi Ibrahim Pharmaceutical Industry Science Award." His artificial intelligence software project titled "The Contribution of a Self-Learning Model Developed Using Artificial Intelligence in Echocardiography to Medical Education," which aims to facilitate the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac diseases, received the award in the "Best Artificial Intelligence Academy Project" category at the Cardiovascular Academy Association National Congress. Expressing his pride in receiving another award on behalf of Suleyman Demirel University, Associate Professor Dr. Kuyumcu extended his gratitude to his project team members—our Faculty student Sebahat Ulusan, Middle East Technical University Faculty of Engineering student Enes Sezgin, and Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine student Rümeysa Yavuz—as well as Faculty of Medicine Dean Prof. Dr. Alim Koşar, SDÜ Hospital Chief Physician Prof. Dr. Rasih Yazkan, and University Rector Prof. Dr. İlker Hüseyin Çarıkçı for their support. He was also awarded the "Cardiologist of the Year" award presented by the Turkish Society of Cardiology in 2020-2021.
