Our Students Participated in TUMS International Summer Schools

Our students from Süleyman Demirel University Faculty of Medicine; Zeynep Nazlı Şahin, Seyhan Deniz Karaduman, Batuhan Özdemir, Rumeysa Özder, Kerem Rüstem Özdil, Ayşe Merve Kahraman, Nimet Güven and Kübra Bilir participated in international summer schools organized by Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS).

The first of the summer schools was organized by the Faculty of Medicine at Tehran (School of Medicine), which is Iran's first modern medical school and ranks in the world rankings with its scientific publications and studies, between 6-16 August 2023. Our students who participated in the summer school here had the opportunity to take classes from faculty members and carry out some practical applications under their supervision in the Pediatric Health and Diseases Center, Animal Experiments Laboratory, Eye Health and Diseases Center, Department of Internal Diseases, Department of Radiology, and Pathology Laboratory. Our students, who also visited TUMS's Advanced Technology Center and participated in workshops there, completed their summer school education with a closing ceremony.

The second of the summer schools was organized by the School of Persian Medicine at Tehran between 26-30 August 2023. Our students had the opportunity to participate in theoretical and practical trainings such as medical history, public health, and complementary medicine practices. Our students, who found the opportunity to examine the library containing many valuable medical books and other materials in its collection, strengthened their knowledge with applied training under the supervision of faculty members. The second summer school also concluded with a closing ceremony.

During the summer schools, our students had the opportunity to visit the historical and tourist sites of Tehran and experienced an unforgettable experience both scientifically and socio-culturally.
